Butchery uses energy saving Ecostar unit

Thermofrost Cryo have supplied a Bitzer Ecostar condensing unit to cool 4 rooms at a Bristol butchery plant.

The variable speed Ecostar provides step less capacity from 18.2 down to 7.0kw at -5 deg. C evaporating, which combined with EPR valves allows a constant temperature to be maintained in all 4 rooms regardless of the load.

With their built in inverter control, Ecostar units offer outstanding energy efficiency, as the inverter controls the compressor speed to exactly match the cooling duty required, from full capacity right down to 1/3 load. Since energy consumed is directly proportional to compressor speed, when running at part load the energy consumption is reduced significantly. Ecostar units are particularly suitable when several evaporators are connected to a single condensing unit, or in other circumstances where the cooling load varies.

Ecostar units offer low noise levels, with a factory fitted fan speed control and fully dressed with drier, sight glass and HP/LP, all enclosed in an easy to install and attractively housed weatherproof package.
