Herl releases updated refrigeration safety pressure relief valves

November 2012 Herl releases updated refrigeration safety pressure relief valves

Herl of Germany, part of Parker Hannifin Corporation, have released updated versions of their popular T21 safety pressure relief valve, and T19 dual safety pressure relief valve.

Designated T21.1 and T19.1, these updated valves use a new seat disc seal made from PTFE compound allowing set pressures up to 40 bar gauge over a temperature range of -50 to +120 degrees C, and are suitable for all gaseous refrigerants according to EN378 (annex E), including ammonia and carbon dioxide.

The updated valves have corrosion resistant, chrome plated bodies offering high flow capacities, and conform to PED 97/23/EC. With TUV Type Test Approval, all valves are also ATEX certified for explosion proof areas.

Herl valves are distributed exclusively in the UK and Ireland by Thermofrost Cryo Ltd.
